A cornerstone with a Seljuk inscription (13th century) inserted into the base of the minaret of the Alaca Mescit. The inscription is about the founding of a ‘vakıf’ (= Islamic charitable foundation that will either donate funds and support to other organizations, or provide the source of funding for its own charitable purposes).
