The Beyazıt Paşa Mosque, built in 1414 on initiative of this Grand Vizir of sultan Mehmet I.

The two raised areas on both sides of the central passage are this mosque’s ‘son cemaat yeri’ (= ‘area for those who came late’), where worshippers who reached the mosque late or at the last moment, will gather and fulfil their prayer duty.
