This ‘Saraydüzü Kışla Binası’ (= Barracks on the Palace’s flat area) is a 1997 reconstruction of a late Ottoman building from 1898-1900, where Mustafa Kemal Paşa (the future Atatürk) and his companions stayed in June 1919. No wonder that nowadays the building houses the ‘Milli Mücadele Müzesi’ too (= Museum of the Turkish War of Independence).
