This is the hünkar mahfili, which is a screened off part where the Sultan and his party could attend services. A ramp outside the building that I have on some other pictures elsewhere would lead them up to an adjacent suit of rooms, including a salon, bedchamber and toilet, as well as kitchens of a lower level, which could serve as a pied-à-terre for the Sultan.
