In December 2008 I returned to this town, and partly visited the same spots, partly did new things, like climbing to the point where a short tunnel connects the Euphrates plane to the Eastern hinterland. I loved the town and enjoyed the harsh December light playing on its old surfaces.

In due course I will integrate some pictures with the earlier ones. Then the difference in light conditions will make viewing somewhat peculiar.
