In the background: The bedesten (market hall) covered by six small domes, and preceded by low galleries where small shops were set up. The original Seljuk hall (late 13th century) had collapsed and was rebuilt by the Ottoman in the 16th century, in a Classical Ottoman style. It was restored in 1975.
To its right: The minaret of the Eşrefoğlu Camii and the conical roof of its Türbe (tomb).
On the left of the picture: The Eşrefoğlu Hamamı (or: ‘Çifte Hamam’ = double bath), originally erected at the end of the 13th century, and recently rebuilt. It has two parts: one for the men, and one for the women.
