Inside the Yıldırım mosque, dating from the end of the 14th century but often restored.
Only in 2008 did I understand (as people pointed them out to me) that one of the pillar shows some human faces, which makes it most unusual as the representation of people inside a mosque is if not forbidden (I suppose it depends on the school of thinking if this holds true), at least extremely rare. Being used to churches full of such faces, in particular from the middle ages, I had not noticed.
