From a website by the ministry: After the 1514 Battle of Çaldıran , Doğubayazıt joined the Ottoman lands during the reign of Selim I , and the mosque with a central dome and a single minaret was built right next to Doğubayazıt Castle.

I here group pictures with mainly the mosque, in another gallery some where the accent is more on the castle.
