In 1995 I witnessed a Turkish election campaign. It was a campaign for the first female president the country then had, Tansu Çiller. I was - then - surprised to see busloads of voters were coming to Kütahya from places that were not just near. The music was loud, there were mehter marching, it was most enjoyable. I felt like a reporter because, with my - for an amateur certainly - professional equipment I could walk all over the place. In 2018 I scanned old slides that looked fresh beyond believe, and I decided to show the whole series in a special sub-gallery.
