Belen is nothing special, although the small town sits at 450 meters on a nice spot on a big hill on the Iskenderum to Antakya highway, shortly before the road reaches its highest point. Views are nice. The main attraction in the town, which claims to have been on the old Silk Road for ages, are a mosque and adjacent bathhouse and caravansary, dating back to Süleyman the Magnificent (mid 16th century). The mosque was being restored when I visited in 2008, so I show some of that work in progress.
