Aşağı Başak Mosaic
From Aşağı Başak village of the province of Şanlıurfa this mosaic was excavated in 2013. On a rectangular panel in the centre of the floor there are zigzag patterns and Syriac text. The panel is surrounded by depictions of a rabbit, cock, birds amidst curling vine branches emanating from vases formed as spheres at the corners. The vases are decorated as melon slices.
