Proud attendants told me the museum had been extended considerably. Indeed a huge room now houses excellent sculpture from the Sebasteion (the sculpture shown on the building itself being copies). The other rooms are also filled to the brim with great works. The attendants kept pointing at works I might overlook, they enjoyed their job and my appreciation of the works.
In the captions I sometimes quote the Wikipedia, some you find yourself. The notices in the museum provide much more information but I simply did not even try to read them all. Mythological overkill would have been the result. A few older pictures from an earlier visit I transfered from the general Aphrodisias gallery. Note that there is a "Friends of Aphrodisias trust" with an informative site.
