I have repeatedly visited this museum, it is small, but has some fine finds, notably a figurine of a Hittite god, and mummies. I now unite all these pictures, after extending the collection in 2011, in a special gallery. I will add some captions later. The mummies you see may look gruesome, but were "made" using a technique that was first used by the Huns, and later by Turkish peoples, including the Selcuk and Ottomans. It is not sure who they are. They were discovered in the Cumudar tomb in 1928, then transferred several times, suffered "loss of lustre" after flooding in the 1950's, and now seem to have found a resting place under controlled conditions.
