Perugia - in the Umbrian region
This tunnel-walkway is part of a buried medieval city. We accessed the upper part of Perugia by walking through this tunnel.
Greetings from Perugia!! Police with uzis & bullet proof vest in front of a bank (and throughout Italy). These guys are serious!
Corso Vannuci at the town center. On the right (foreground) is the Palazzo dei Priori, (1290's-1440's). Now it is a town hall.
Fontana Maggiore on Piazza IV Novembre. Fountain (1270's) done by a local monk, Bevignate. N. and G. Pisano added sculptures.
Unusual ceremonial hats (military?)
Judy and two gelatos. No she did not eat both of them, although she could have done it. One of them was for Richard.
Judy on a side street. Perugia is one of the best preserved medieval hill towns.
Judy on Piazza Italia. The lower part of Perugia is in the background.
