The Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence River are rich in nutrients and plankton. The flow of fresh water in the Saguenay Fjord is one of the most powerful in world. The currents of the waters and other factors constantly enrich the ecosystem in this area with sea creatures - "clouds" of fish and plankton - a "buffet" for the whales. The whales constantly feed here round the clock.
