Great Synagogue: Built in 1874-1904 after emancipation of Italy's Jews following unification of Italy in 1861.
(I did not take this photo. The synagogue is guarded 24 hours per day by police with uzis, and they would not let me take a photo of it. Nevertheless, I wanted to show it.)
