The Nintenmon Gate to the Senso-ji Temple - Tokyo

Temple is Buddhist.
This gate was erected in 1618 and is one of the oldest structures in Tokyo. It is on the east side of the Main Hall and is named for the two protective Buddhist deities (known as ten) that flank it left and right: Zochoten and Jikokuten respectively. You can faintly see the stautue of Jikokuten on the right side of the gate. The gate's name Nitenmon means “gate of two ten.”
