Tokyo Station - facade on the Marunouchi side

This brick building dates from 1914 (Meiji Period). Tokyo Station is the busiest train station in Japan with 3,000 trains per day connecting to other areas in Tokyo, and to other cities and surrounding areas. Currently the station is being extensively renovated (seen in the photo) including connections between the station and nearby office towers.
Another later photo further down the web page shows the modern facade of the Tokyo Station on its Yaesu side.
