Ken, Elliott and Jerry in Chez Jacqueline's (French and Cajun cuisine) in Breaux Bridge in southwestern Louisiana

We ate here and had an ongoing conversation with the Southern couple in the back.
Jacqueline the owner of this restaurant is a lively and friendly French woman. She is the waitress, bartender and cook so the service was expectedly a bit slow but the food was tasty.
Breaux Bridge is a small town of over 8,000 people and a gateway to Cajun culture in southern Louisiana. About 28% of the families speak French at home and about 2% speak Louisiana Creole French at home. Breaux Bridge was officially designated, "La capitale Mondiale de l'ecrevisse" ("The Crawfish Capital of the World") by the Louisiana Legislature in 1959.
