We heard a fine jazz group at Preservation Hall (light colored building) in the French Quarter of New Orleans

We waited in this line to get into Preservation Hall. It's a small venue - once it's filled with the people in line that's it. The facility and services are appropriately primitive - no bathrooms, air conditioning or booze.
Preservation Hall was founded in 1961. The current building dates from the 1800's. Traditional New Orleans' jazz is played here 350 days a year. Over 100 local jazz musicians alternate to form various jazz ensembles to play here on different days.
