The Church of the Holy Sepulcher – the most sacred Christian place in Jerusalem. Many Christians believe that this church marks the place where Jesus was crucified by the Romans, buried and then rose from the dead three days later. The Church is shared by six Catholic denominations. The first church built on the site was in the 4rd century c.e. The fourth church built on the site was by the Crusaders in the 12th century.
