Fenced-in area in the Golan Heights overlooking the Hula Valley: A military position used by Syria in Syrian/Israeli wars

This Syrian military position was very strategic since it overlooked the Hula Valley. From this position, people in the Hula Valley were very vulnerable to attack (by rockets, etc.).
This military position was used by Syria in one or both of the following wars between Israel and Syria: 1) The Six Day War (June,1967) - when Israel captured territories including the Golan Heights. 2) The Yom Kippur War (October, 1973) - when Syria, Egypt and an Arab coalition tried to reclaim territories they lost during the Six Day War.
