Nimrod Castle/Fortress: In 1129 c.e., the Crusaders transformed an Arab fortress into this castle/fortress.

Located on the slopes of Mt. Hermon.
The castle/fortress is named after Nimrod, who is mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures as a great hunter. Presumably he lived here.
The castle/fortress frequently changed hands between Christians and Muslims.
The castle/fortress also was used by the Syrians and Israelis during the Six Day War in 1967.
