SMC Softball '10 vs Westfield, Bethel

St. Michael's finished strong in their 2010 Florida tournament, splitting a doubleheader on the final day. SMC jumped ahead of Westfield State in the opener, only to fall behind, before racing back for the lead and the win. KellyE started on the mound, Stephanie relieved to shift momentum, and KellyE came on to close out the win. LindsayB had a clutch RBI double to fuel the win. Similar pattern in game 2. SMC jumped ahead early, but Bethel of Minnesota came roaring back, leaving SMC to keep chipping away before falling just short of victory. Steph started on the mound with KellyE coming on in relief. MegC had the impressive RBI double in game two. SMC finishes the season-opening road trip 5-5. BRAVO!!!

A highlight of the day? I made my on-field, regular season, college varsity assistant coaching debut -- coaching 1st base while Ralph warmed up Steph. WOOHOOOO!!! Plus, I got a signed game ball ... Life is good. :-)
