Playing their 3rd doubleheader in the season's first three days meant the Purple Knights had to dig deep -- and they did! KellyE twirled a 4-hitter and belted an RBI double as St. Mike's defeated Nyack College 8-0. LindsayH had a double and single; MegC had a pair of singles in the win. SMC battled Philadelphia College in game 2, racing to a 1-0 lead and taking a 1-1 tie into the fourth, but fell 4-1. Steph took the loss on the mound, while singling and scoring SMC's only run. Kate had the only other SMC hit, a beautiful bunt single. SMC is now 4-2 on the season.

I got to hit fly balls to the outfielders before the opener, which is always a highlight, and then enjoyed the games from atop Ladder -- with Marilyn getting photos of me doing both!
