SMC came out swinging in their Fall Ball opener, riding the arms of Hillary and KellyE to a 10-4 win over Plattsburgh. MegC had the big hits in the opener -- an rbi double and an rbi triple. Plattsburgh bounced back in game 2, taking it 8-2 while Stephanie and Lauren shared the mound. Hillary blasted a HR over the centerfield fence to pace the offense in game two. Kate had an assist from Center, as they nailed a runner at 3rd trying to stretch a double into a triple. Soph transfer Tori made her SMC debut, so the team was only missing KateC who is studying abroad this Fall. All in all, it was a very encouraging start to Fall Ball for the Purple Knights -- lots of good things today!
