After their morning double-header got rained out and their scheduled opponent had to fly home, SMC searched for a pickup game for four hours before giving up -- only to get called minutes before they lept into the pool for an afternoon match with Central CT State. SMC scrambled to the field and CCSU was ready for them -- taking the game 8-0. MegO took the loss, with KatieW coming on in relief. Lindsay had two singles, MegO had a single and Heather added a single for the Purple Knights. Heather earned the catcher's cycle: throwing out a running stealing 3rd, nailing a runner stealing 2nd, picking a runner off 1st, and tagging a runner out at home -- I've never seen that done in a single game! Katelyn started in Centerfield and went 0-2 at the plate as SMC moved to 6-1 on the year.
