SMC jumped out to an early lead over Medaille as MegO had an RBI triple and a double and Heather and KellyL each added two hits, but Medaille battled back to tie it after 7. Extra innings meant the international tiebreaker. In the top of the 8th, Medaille had a runner on 3rd with one out and the batter drove a fly ball to Center -- Katelyn settled under it and then unleased a rocket throw to Heather to nail the would-be winning run at the plate, preserving the tie with the 8-8-2 double play. In the bottom of the 8th, KellyE had a beautiful bunt to advance Heather to 3rd and Lindsay delivered a line drive single to Center to win it. MegO earned the win with a complete game on the mound and Katelyn had a single, a sacrifice, and a run scored as SMC improved to 5-0.
