In what ended up being a 646 mile roundtrip for GrammaB and I, we got to see the Purple Knights rescheduled doubleheader with Southern Connecticut (and had the pleasure driving Katelyn to the game due to her exam schedule, taking the opportunity to pop onto the UConn campus at Storrs on the way down as she'll be working in chemistry research for them this summer). Long day -- but well worth it to see fabulous ball.

SMC played very well and had runners on all day, but came up short on a pair of nailbiters, falling 4-3 and 7-6, with both games hanging in the balance in exciting last innings. Lindsay had two hits in the opener, MeghanC had three hits in the nightcap. Katelyn collected two hits on the day, stealing a base, and scoring three times. SMC is now 7-10 on the year.
