Gm 34, 35: Stonehill

SMC kept pushing for a spot in the NE-10 playoffs with a pair of shutouts against Stonehill, 3-0 and 2-0. Meggan earned the win in Gm1; Meg O earned the win in Gm 2 with Meggan getting the save. Ashley crushed a HR in Gm 1; Meg O delivered 3 hits in Gm2. Katelyn started Gm2 in rightfield. Meggan topped 750 career strikeouts and Ashley tied the season record for HRs as SMC improved to 23-10.
In a fascinating bit of intrigue, the Stonehill players were determined to be out of the batters' box against the Riseball and the Drop -- so the umps intervened, even having the line redrawn mid game as Stonehill did its best to scrub it out in both games.
The day's injury list contains your friendly neighborhood photographer, as I got hit hard twice and nearly got clipped two other times, earning banishment to deep Left, where I promptly used "ball magnet" skills to draw Ashley's HR over the fence!!
