SMC opened conference play with a split at Merrimack. Meggan threw a 3-hitter and Lyndsey blasted a home run to center as Mike's won game one, 3-0. Merrimack came roaring back in game two, as they tagged Meg O, Ali, and Katelyn for 9 hits on their way to a 10-2 win. SMC's runs came on solo home runs by Casey and Ashley. Katelyn got the start in rightfield in game 2 and then pitched in relief at the end of the game. Her first varsity regular season appearance on the mound was brief, but memorable ... we are looking forward to more in the games and years to come!! The Purple Knights are now 11-3 on the season.
