With snow in VT complicating a mid April SMC home date, Assumption and SMC got creative and drove (part of the way together) to Nichols College, the 4+ hours from SMC - essentially the closest playable open field! SMC then swept the doubleheader from their busmates ... Our thanks to the Nichols' staff for helping these games get played!

Meggan was masterful in game 1 and the defense was solid, but the game was scoreless going into the 6th. Heather led off the 6th with a single and Kater pinch ran for her, but again, Assumption wiggled out of trouble. In the bottom of the 7th, Meg C led off with a single and Krysten ran for her. Lyndsey bunted her to 2nd and Ashley's clutch hit scored Krysten with the game winner. Meg O earned the win on the mound in game 2, giving up only 1 run in 5 1/3 before giving way to Meggan, who slammed the door on Assumption. Kater warmed for early relief, but Meg O got out of the jam and cruised from there as SMC improved to 16-4. Maggie had three hits and scored twice to pace the offense in Gm 2, while Ashley contributed two more hits and 3 more RBI.
