I slipped down to Middlebury to enjoy some of "my" Thunderbirds taking on some of "my" Tigers in May of '12 ... Nice to get away, nice match up, nice day for ball. Middlebury wobbled a bit defensively in the 1st and MVU took advantage. The game was tight after that. Middlebury nearly completed the comeback to win in the bottom of the 7th, but Katie G made a nice defensive play on a ball back up the middle to end it. She and Jess G each pitched well -- I was proud of their efforts -- and it's always great to see Mattea, Dakota, Meggie, Kirstin, Sommer and the rest of their teammates and their families (seeing the collegiates Lea & Steph was an unexpected treat). The A&W treat after the game was expected and reeeally good, too! Hey, I live the good life.
