Our niece Hannah is playing on the St. Albans 11-12 All Stars in the 2013 District Tournament .. I got to see her first game, a nice 8-3 win over the Mississquoi All Stars with Lizzy doing a nice job on the mound. Hannah ran the bases well and made a nice play cutting off a shot to the gap in right center to hold the batter to a single. I got to see their second game the next afternoon, vs Essex. Hannah played the first 3 innings in left field and nearly chased down a long foul ball with some nice hustle. Lacey held the Essex batters close in the early innings, but the game eventually got away from St. Albans as Essex ran the bases aggressively on route to a 14-1 win. We'd hoped to get to see a rematch with Essex, but St. Albans got bumped from the district double elimination tourney with a 15-4 loss to Northwest in a game we didn't get to see.
