The Comets blew into windy Bristol and took home a blustery 9-2 win over a nice Mt. Abe club ... Kate gave up 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 8 in her third game in 4 days, not really finding her groove until the 6th inning. Megan was masterful on defense -- with three spectacular plays and numerous solid plays at 2nd. Better play -- the diving catch behind first, the leaping catch on a rocket to right, or the backhanded stab up the middle with the throw to first to get the runner? Wow. Jenna tore up the basepaths -- and numerous Comets contributed hits as they improved to 9-0. A nice win over my alma mater -- which is always sweet. Here's a tip of the hat to two Eagles who stood out: SS Stetson and 3B Jipner -- nice work!
