After more than a week of rainouts, the Comets hosted North Country on a damp infield and a soggggy outfield ... The Comets worked through their rust quickly, and took home a 15-0 victory to improve to 11-0. Kate started, stiking out 4 in two perfect innings; Brittany relieved for two hitless innings; and Hillary completed the combined no-hitter by relieving in the 5th. Offense and Defense were in mid-season form: Katie W made a key catch in right field, Courtney snared a popped up bunt, Jamie led off the bottom of the 5th with a double, and Danielle drilled a single to center to score Jamie with the 15th run to invoke the mercy rule. All in all, a good return to action.
