I got the chance to see Jack-Hammer play for the Vermont Glades against a strong, fast Jr Warrior team out of the Boston area. Brilliant first period, good game overall. I don't know all the intricacies of hockey, but I'm an expert in hustle and I was very impressed by the grit and effort and determination of Vermont's 13-yr-old Glades. Unfortunately, they played on Cairns II, which means shooting through the hazy glass at floor level as there is no press box for us fussy wandering photographers! Plus, the lighting is horrid - so I shot at asa 3200, 1/160th or 1/200th of a second, so there is blur and grain. C'mon, how many hockey dads does it take to install a few more lightbulbs??
