Nex-gen Chelsea had a day for the Comets at Rice -- throwing her first varsity no-hitter (as a Freshman) in a 15-0 win ... two fair balls all day against her? She added a single, double, and triple and scored four runs to pace the offense ... Her gem was preserved by a great defensive play on a sweet bunt up the first base line -- Kristen charged it, spun, and made the throw to Celsey covering from 2nd and Cels hung in there and made the catch on the bag for the out despite the runner bearing down on her. Great stuff from the nex-gens -- and in true Comet style, the starters gave way early on so the reserves who work hard in practice could get some well-earned playing time. Bravo!
