While my own are grown and gone, got to see some familiar nex gens on the college softball diamond in offseason Fall Ball '13 .. Stephanie (Oranges, Winter Pitching) and KatieG (Winter Pitching) led their Castleton College Spartans to take on St. Michaels College, with Lea (Winter Pitching), Bethany, Sarah, Greer and the rest of a new group of Purple Knights. Fun to be back on the SMC sideline, particularly when there are friends on both sidelines and in both dugouts .. Such a delight to see Lea and Bethany, both are so positive! Always great to see Stephanie, she was a joy to coach back in the day and continues to play the game the way it is meant to be played. And very cool to see KatieG battle back from a serious knee issue to not only pitch in college but to go as far as striking out the first two collegians she faced. A grey day, but a great day.
