I got to see one of Kate's nex gens open the 2010 playoffs with an impressive performance for the Comets. Chelsea struck out the first 7 batters she faced, finishing with 16 strikeouts in a 2-hit shutout. Plus, Chels broke open a 0-0 game in the third with a monster 3-run blast over the left field fence and followed that later with an rbi double. Kayla from clinic threw well for North Country, but the Comet explosion in the 3rd masked her fine effort on the mound. I only took a few pics ...
