To celebrate the start of our 28th year of marriage, Marilyn and I enjoyed a beautiful Vermont day by climbing Belvidere Mountain via The Long Trail. Great hike - shaded and frequently steep with a nearby stream gurgling for much of the first third and enough entertaining boulders to keep it interesting. Naturally, I took some pictures on the way up .. on the way down, I was pleased as punch to have my knees hold up -- better technique, moderated pace, and targeted strength training really paid off, as this is no easy walk in the park and I was essentially pain free. Great day.
