SMC traveled to Bryant to face the #2 team in the conference and put a scare into their opponents in both games, but dropped a pair, 4-2 and then 10-3. MegO put on the performance of the day on defense, pitching 11.2 of 12 innings in the Purple Knight's 9th and 10th games in the past six days. KellyE wowed with a pair of diving stops at 2nd; Harkins turned a 6-6-3 double play; and Katelyn threw out her 7th runner of the year from Center (this one at 2nd) and tagged out a runner at 2nd after sneaking in behind her from Center on a head's up play by MegO on a bunt. KellyL had a double with 2 RBI in game one; Katelyn had a double and 2 runs scored in game 2 (and walked twice on the day); and Ashley, MeghanC, Heather, Lindsay, and KatieW all had two hits on the day.

The games were fun to watch, despite the steady drizzle that dampened the first game. In game one, SMC hung close through the early innings and came roaring back to push runs across and bring the tying run to the plate only to come up just short. In game two, SMC jumped into the lead early, but Bryant roared back, only to see SMC come right back at them, before the Bulldogs finally broke it open. SMC is now 7-28 on the year.
