The Fairfielders that Kater works with in winter pitching were back on the hardcourts, with Katherine and Caitlin's team (coached by Sharyn) losing a heartbreaker in the State 11u AAU semi-finals ... and Chelsea, Kelsey, and Eli's team (coached by Tim) racing through the State 12u semi-finals (on their way to winning the 12u State title later in the day). I love watching these kids play basketball -- because they hustle, they play defense, they pass, they cheer for their teammates ... it's just great stuff and the coaches are delightful. Soooo, it was fun to see both teams in action. The photos are crappy -- I hate gym lighting and I'm not going to nuke the kids with the flash just for the sake of snapshots.
