Respected rivals squared off to open the season and it was a nailbiter til the last inning. The game went scoreless into the 4th, when Kater's rbi single broke the deadlock. BFA's momentum took over and the Comets pulled away from MVU, 6-0. The Comets were paced by tremendous defense (highlighted by double plays from Megan and Lyndsi), great pitch calling by Heather, and strong hitting by Heather, Stephanie, and Mikaela. Kater threw a No-Hitter, struck out 8, and walked one. A nice opening to the season for the Comets.
