Excited anticipation met strong competition and quickly became a (somewhat humbling) learning experience as the 16u Rockets were blanked at Clifton Park, losing games 11-1, 4-3, 11-0, and 10-1 after sweeping the Vermont Championship the weekend before. The Rockets made many nice plays -- there were just toooo many other plays between them for this caliber of competition! The girls kept their heads up and battled in every game, regardless of the score -- and that kind of attitude will serve them well in future tournaments.
