Well, here, we sat directly below the fireworks at the St. Albans Bay Park, maybe 100 yards from the launch site. Great closeup view, but the trade offs were: reaction time was much less; had to shoot at wideangle (and the width of many still escaped me); the smoke hung in the air and clouded later images a bit; and my 0.4 seconds at f11 was too much in some cases, especially at the finale. So, it was a learning experience and a very enjoyable show that still yielded some good photos ...
