The oddest thing

So strange to find this Sunflower growing in a place where almost nothing else is growing.
Yesterday I went to where once my home stood in Pearlington and found this Sunflower. Seemed so odd and out of place. And then on the drive out of Pearlington and into Waveland I noticed other lone Sunflowers in bloom in ditches and along side piles of litter and debris.

Such a moving story, so sad to see you home is gone, but how lovely to see this beauty!

Lovely but sad composition. I think sunflower seeds floated from bird feeders. We have them like this too. A little touch of beauty.
