These images represent my camera setting experiments and post-processing efforts while shooting birds...
They were taken under my always difficult shooting conditions; low light due to our dark hollow, shot through insulated windows...or reflections and glare due to the sun. These conditions usually require post processing (color cast removal, noise reduction, etc.); I have been experimenting with the proper settings to assist in this process. All were taken in Aperture Priority; settings were SHQ jpeg, spot focus, Auto High ISO, IS. So far, these additional settings work the best for my shooting conditions: esp or center weighted metering, auto high ISO (highest 800), contrast, saturation, sharpness = 0. I didn't use the teleconverter setting when using the TCON17 since macro mode is disabled (why Olympus?), so the focal length is incorrect in the exif. All have been downsized to 800 x 600 px @80% using Qimage, and two have no post processing.

What a great start to the bird gallery! They all look very sharp, detailed and other people with the SP-560 gotta appreciate the technical pointers you posted here. You really put alot into the documentation of these as well.
