Revisiting the natural summer of WV ~ 2006

...after a two and a half month hiatus avoiding the ticks...
...I was finally able to explore a little of the undisturbed parts of our property and the Rails to Trails that passes through it.
It was dismaying to discover that the large patch of Joe Pye Weed that the butterflies love in August has been mowed down, but I did find a couple of surviving plants.

Boy, these are all fabulous Donna!! I know I commented on the latest one you posted, but it would be hard to pick one alone as they are all so good. The one with the wasp is really awesome too...its too hard, I like 'em all!!

Glad you were able to get out and get these, hope you are doing well these days. I think of you often.
