Our Butterfly Garden Activity in West Virginia - Sept/Oct 2007

Our new Butterfly Bushes have attracted an unbelievable quantity and variety of butterflies and insects - Swallowtails, Brushfooted, Skippers, Whites and Yellows, Moths, Bees, Flies, Wasps, and other misc insects...the most I've seen in one place since the Joe Pye Weed disappeared from the Rails to Trails in 2005.
On Sept 30th, freshly emerged butterflies arrived, but the Fritillaries and Eastern Tiger Swallowtails are pretty tattered.
